Dinner at our house is very entertaining with Jack Jack. He is a mess, and I let him be! Oh my goodness he is totally number 4. He thought he was king of the house when I let him do this. 

Like Father Like Son

Aaron and his Oreos- You can't separate the two. One of Jackson's first words? Coooookie. And he WILL climb to the highest of heights to get them!

Growing up Aaron would play with duct tape and actually make some pretty amazing things with it!  Yesterday I see jaron doing this- making a house for his snake with boxes and duct tape. It kept him busy for an hour!!!

Opening Day!!

We are sooo excited that Jaron is officially in the North Oldham Baseball League.  Aaron and I are HUGE baseball fans and can't wait to do this with our boys. Lucky Jaron is a fan too and wants to play :)

So Saturday was the parade

Aaron and Jaron walked along, I love this pic of Jaron and his big ears poking out of his hat :) They were introduced out on the field at a team- THE GIANTS!! Aaron helping out with the coaching Me managing the dugout- cute boys. Jaron slid into homeplate on his first hit! Out to the fence might I add :) Ok, might Aaron add. Jaron is is READY position! I love being a mom to boys, can't wait for Jackson to do this too!

I Love My Friend Across The Street

Mira went on a cruise all last week- I think this is the longest we have been apart, like no contact at all! I love having my BFF across the street and I missed looking out the window and seeing whats going on over there, and I missed having her call me up asking what the heck is going on over here!

It's such a blessing, we know that this might not last forever (however we choose to stay in denial) but it's just such a blast. And summer is around the corner and that's when the real party starts! (just don't tell the husbands!)

I think the funniest thing to me is that here we live a hop skip and a jump away yet we will talk on the phone forever, well and I take that back half the time we are not really talking just yelling at our kids or commentating our every move as we clean house. It kills me!

I was made for the COUNTRY

This is one of the songs that growing up, we would sing to ALL the time. My dad traveled a lot on business and somehow made this our theme song when he would go away. I remember we would have the tape playing, yes I said tape, and we'd pull into the garage but have to stay idle until the song was over. Growing up in Napa Cal, there were not many 18 wheelers driving around and I totally remember counting the wheels on a big rig to see if it was an 18 wheeler or not!

I never knew just how precious these Rigs are to southerners. Let a guy drive a peterbuilt and he's a happy man. 

Then of course the Judds:

My dad would drive me to seminary and we would listen to the new technology, the CD player, and he had the Judds playing every morning. I remember this new song he liked called John Deer Tractor. I swore I would learn that song and sing it just like Naomi did!

Then of course, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, Johnny cash, Crystal Gayle, Ronnie Milsap, Dolly Parton, Barbara Mandrell, and onto Billy Ray, and George Straight. With the Beach Boys thrown in there too! I did live in Cali!

But I have to say this genre of music I think just set the tone for where my life would take me! I have always loved wide open spaces and fields and horses, all that counrty stuff! I never thought however I would live where I do. Kentucky for me is a dream, and I often look around and see all I have and feel so blessed. 

I love the people, their Christian ways, I love that I can walk out of Walmart knowing everything that was on the mind of my cashier lady. I love that "just down the road" means at least 20 minutes away. And if you are going to say something about someone you have to follow up with "bless her heart". 

Words I learned that I never knew exsisted- Piddle- means wasting time, doing nothing. I thought it meant to go pee. Shindig- a dance or type of party. MESS- someone who just carries on, you'd say "she's a mess". Do-Hicky- a Thing-a-ma-jig,  Aim to- planning on doing something

And then the sayings, oh brother my father in law has a mess of those. Aaron gets worse with them the older he gets. He will say "your on me like white on rice" meaning I'm nagging him. 

All this and more is why I love where I love, how we live and I never plan to move. Sorry Cali/AZ family :(   I swear ya'll would love it here!

Mom's in Time Out

I had to take a picture of this- I was put in time out by Jaron. 

Apparently I wasn't talking very nice to him and so I had to sit in the time out chair.

What's funny is when he realized that I was really going to do what he said he quickly jumps in to the role of parent and says "no talking mom, and you have to sit there for a long long time while I go upstairs like you do to me."

And I am not kidding, he did just that. I think I sat there for at least 30 minutes while he was upstairs on the computer. 

It was really good time to reflect on my behavior and I feel like I learned my lesson. :)

Snow in April?

We were sitting in the Living Room having FHE and the kids start freaking out pointing outside saying, snow, snow! WHAT? Global warming at it's best?

I think the Adams were outside playing football in it!
